Date: 2022
Role: Educational
I participated in the AA Crossing the Divide workshop, organized by the Architectural Association in collaboration with Geoversity in Panama. The program combined bamboo construction, parametric design, and ecological exploration. Under the guidance of master craftsman Jörg Stamm, along with instructors César Cheng and John Naylor, we learned bamboo construction techniques in Panama City. Later, at the Mamoni Valley Preserve, a site managed by Geoversity, we developed projects using Grasshopper and Rhino, exploring parametric forms applied to bamboo structures. Additionally, we attended lectures on biodiversity and took part in bamboo harvesting. The workshop concluded with final presentations, where we showcased our designs and insights.
